On the early morning of February 15, 1954, young Stephen Darbishire, then a pupil at Ulverston Grammar
School and his eight-year old cousin Adrian Meyer
In February 1954, together with his cousin, Adrian Myers, took two
strange photographs of a flying saucer spotted near Coniston, Cumbria, England.
A strange sighting occurred on Thursday, Dec. 16, 1742 about 8:40 P.M.
A witness was returning home from the Royal Society to Westminster London and in the vicinity of
the Middle of the Parade in St. James's Park. Suddenly he spotted a mysterious light arising
from behind the trees and houses.
According to ancient records the legendary masters of antiquity were able to fly through the sky.

At 1:45am on August 2, 1965, young Alan Smith, then 14 years old was standing in the back yard of
his family home in Tulsa when he saw a strange object passing directly over the house.
He pointed his small Boy Scout camera (620) with Kodacolor X high speed film toward the sky and
managed to take two color photographs of a blinking, colored...
"The most significant UFO case in Illinois occurred seven years ago. On January 5, 2000 several police officers tracked a huge unidentified triangular-shaped object near Scott AFB.
But did you know that mysterious Unidentified Flying Objects were reported already back in 1897?...

The last two weeks has seen no letup in the number of sightings in the skies above the UK.
Here are some of those seen
by members of the public.
Notice on some of the reports, "The Experts" giving natural phenomena as the likely cause of such sightings and they say
fairy tales are a thing of the past.
Well I never !
1. Cheltenham Sighting. Reported 03.Sep.07.
Many people in the centre of Cheltenham witnessed strange orange lights flying over the area. They came over in pairs,
totalling eleven altogether. Many witnesses reported the lights as a kind of procession which is consistent with earlier
reports from nearby areas of similar orange lights flying overhead. That old favourite of party lanterns as an
explanation, appears in this report, but
does not stand up to careful consideration. Lanterns cannot change direction or speed up or slow down appreciably. (See: 1)
2. Banbury Sighting. Reported 05.Sep.07.
Similar orange lights were seen and videod over the town of Banbury in Oxfordshire, which is not very far from Cheltenham
on the evening of Sat 1st Sept. A total of seven people saw up to fifteen orange lights flying over in formation and uniform speed.
One of the witnesses managed to film them on video. (See: 2)
3. Harlow Sighting. Reported 6 Sep 07.
This sighting took place over the town of Harlow, which is close to Stansted Airport, one of the London relief airports handling
quite high volumes of air traffic. The object was H shaped and greyish in colour, with no visible lights and moved slowly across
the sky. This area is credited with the first official UK UFO report in the sixties. (See: 3)
4. Epsom Orange Lights. 07.Sep.07.
The orange lights were seen again, this time a little further south in the county of Surrey, which is south of London and the same
area where a "Foot and Mouth Disease" outbreak has occurred. Not that I'm saying there is any connection between the two.
Notice in the newspaper report, the explanation of Chinese lanterns is proffered by an "expert" in this field. (See: 4)
5. UFO Fleet Over Essex
This Fleet of objects was sighted over Essex, north east of London and again the following day over the Netherlands on the 25th and 26th of August. The witness who took this photograph estimated the total size of the fleet to be approximately 600 - 700 in total.
That is some fleet and must be some kind of record. It should be offered to the Guinness Book of Records!

We seem to have been almost overrun with UFO activity for the last 18 months. Here are a few examples.
1. The sighting by two different passenger aircraft in the skies over
the Island of Guernsey in the English Channel, has received quite considerable coverage,
starting with the local papers and the ITV Channel Islands station...
Something strange and unusual did happen on the nights 26-29 December 1980 in
Tangham Woods, a part of the Rendlesham Forest near Woodbridge, Suffolk, England.
Rendlesham Forest case is undoubtedly one of the best documented and most significant military
encounters with a UFO. It is also a very credible incident ...
