The markings in many photographs take on a kind of living aspect as they seem to reach out in some cases like roots, branches and foliage. Over time we should be able to present more reports of the varied markings.

The sections below have been assembled for comparison to help observe these variations. Brightness and contrast has been adjusted in some of the images to help see the shapes. Please look closely. Could some of the following images show examples of vegetation?

In this MGS image section a more of a flat blanket-like formation can be seen which rolls over the edge of the crater but still seems to cover the rougher surface.

Please notice the branching and what may be root structures in the image. More than one form of vegetation may be present. Down within the possible growths are other structures and formations where possible higher forms of life may have altered the surface.

In this next report photographs from the European Space Agency Mars Express Spacecraft show greenery rising above the surface with shadows beneath the sides, like that of forest trees on Earth.

Could we be seeing the foliage of living trees?

The section below is from a Mars Global Surveyor photograph found by Arthur C. Clarke showing shapes like those of banyan trees. Are these examples of tree branches with foliage on the ends?

This next MGS image has formations that resemble another rugged growth of some sort. Under close inspection, the tapering tendrils can be seen laying over the surface, rather than being flat on the landscape. On Earth, conifers are known as rugged plants and grow in many forms around much of our world.

Could this also be some kind of trees or another type of vegetation, or possibly the result from some other type of biology?

If you look closely in different locations, strands that look like possible timbers can be found, showing the formation could be on top of the more barren landscape.

Interesting features also worth noting are the light-colored paths and smaller interesting objects that can be found among the darker markings.

Should the markings be cracks or some type of burn mark, one could expect a more flat representation on the surface. Cracks in the surface normally show shadows within the openings in the surface, indicating a recess in the landscape rather than rising above the surface as a blanket texture. The same may hold true if it were burn marks left by electrical arcing.

A surface could be expected to look scorched rather than as an observable 3-D covering. Nor do the markings look much like lava flows or odd shaped dunes. Another possibility is that the formations could be different kinds of enormous crystal growth. It seems unlikely but not impossible. At least in some examples, the textures seem to look like the result of some kind of life.

And finally could vegetation be part of a larger system with higher forms of life, and is this life building intelligent structures? This following example is a closeup, also from the report Mars: Life, Flowing Water & Intelligently Created Structures. Is this a complex city, complete with roads, bridges, tunnels and buildings?

The examples shown in this report are almost void of craters. This fact could show that the structures are from a more recent time in Mars geological past. Most of the images that the mainstream news outlets cover are no where near the level of interesting features seen in some of the photographs from Mars. Perhaps as the evidence grows, we will see a change for the better. If some of the photographs show examples of vegetation, could there be animal life roaming the plains of Mars, and further more, have Martians constructed complex cities?
