The way it looks to me is that there are many tubular structures and tunnels, and whether they are glass or some other translucent material, or opaque and so on, they are but a smaller part of a more important issue. This is the issue of cities on the surface. I hope to cover many individual structures, the vast modification and operations of the probable Martians.

The significance of an advanced civilization having been, or still is on Mars cannot be overstated. This takes priority for now.

The following image taken by the Mars Global Surveyor is a peculiar scene.

The full photograph has what appears to be thousands of monolithic structures or buildings lined up in rows and grids. Many are similar in size, rectangular in shape and are connected by a series of lines on the ground. At least some of these structures look like buildings.

In this section you can see what looks like rectangular patches of these monolithic structures. They are of similar size and shape to large buildings known on Earth. The circle to the left is a smaller rectangular area that seems to have a boarder and a structure on the right that bares the mark of a cross. Please notice the very straight edges to the crater-like formations in some examples, such as shown in the circle to the right.

Craters seem to be a good area for finding what looks like intelligent modification. Mars looks to me to have been extensively modified on the surface and that the planet has been heavily mined and excavated. Impact crater walls and rays can be a source of rare or desired interplanetary and beyond materials deposited by meteors and comets.

There are many strange-shaped craters, circular objects, and what look like possible domes in the full image.
Please notice the shortened ironing board shape of this formation. There are smaller standing objects inside and along the right edge. Please notice what looks like a beam that extends out over the edge in the circle below.

Here is another example of a formation that looks to have been possibly shaped by more than random means.

This example shows what could be an underground entrance under the right edge. Please notice the edges, straight lines, what looks like support structure and the darker triangular and geometric shapes in the center of this formation. There almost seems to be a path or road that leads from these objects to the entrance under the right wall.

The following section has several interesting features. The crater walls look straightened and structures look to have been added. You can see what look like structural supports as well.

The upper circle in the image above shows a sort of a dome shaped object with corners along the base. There is what could be a line of windows or ports along the bottom edge. In the lower circle there is a beam or girder object standing on a mound. A possible explanation could be a crane of some kind and the mound could be rubble being moved around.

Many more objects and craters in the full image look intelligently created and modified. There are some other features to this landscape worth mentioning for now. There don't seem to be any craters in the patches of lined up buildings, showing a possible more recent history of formation. The texture of the surface looks lumpy in places, almost as if the image were in color, there would be areas in the full image that looks like what could be the tops of trees.
