The vast, almost supernatural powers attributed to supposed extraterrestrials are hard to imagine even in our
scientifically advanced 21st Century but before we even consider
this aspect, let us examine some of the almost superhuman powers available to us mere mortals right here on earth.
In Japan, as well as elsewhere, advanced students of
Aikido sit outdoors in quiet meditation in their underwear in -10 degrees F weather and perspire.
They also demonstrate their power of Ki, (spirit), with an exercise known as,
'The Unbendable Arm' without using muscular strength, only the power of the mind.

Some highly trained officers of Special Forces have demonstrated near miraculous powers of mind and body such as
extinguishing a candle with their mind from distances of up to 8 feet.
Also by walking across hot coals in their bare feet without injury.
A well trained Ninja can walk on rice paper without leaving any foot prints.

These Ninja can throw a large opponent across the room by projecting a force field, (Ki = spirit), with their
outstretched, flat, hand without even touching their opponent's body using the power of their mind.
These same Ninja can also sit in quiet meditation, blindfolded, with ear plugs, while an opponent armed with a
samurai sword, quietly sneaks up from behind. The adversary quietly raises his sword and with a full, powerful
swing, strikes directly at the top of the meditating Ninja's head at which time, he immediately perceives the attack
and rolls harmlessly away.
Kung Fu and Karate masters can stand before a stack of 10 oriental roof tiles and using the side of their bare hand,
break any designated tile or group of
tiles as requested, without breaking any of the other tiles in the stack. This is known as the art of Dim Mak.

Frank Dux, a master Ninja, and the only caucasian ever to win the Kumite held every 5 years in Hong Kong, was at
this moment in time, the only known martial arts practitioner capable of putting his fist through bullet-proof glass.
He also won a tug-of-war against 20 men,
using only the power of his mind, holding up his right hand and arm while sitting in quiet meditation.

A Tibetan monk was observed to run non-stop over mountainous terrain, 300 miles in 30 hours without ill effects.
This is the Tibetan art of Lung Gom.
In the 1900's, mental patients, kept in old fashioned, (inhuman), back wards, (snake pits), had 'fits' and threw iron beds
the length of the ward irrespective of size or age.
A 60 year old grandmother lifted the front end of a car so her daughter could extricate her 3 year old from under a tire
when she accidently backed over her.
Many such acts have been observed and documented, (including the above), during emergencies and in times of war.
So how are all these (impossible) acts possible?
For that we turn to Einstein's famous equation, E = mc, squared.
E = energy or energy potential. m = mass, (not to be confused with size or weight). c = speed of light,
300,000 kilometers per second.
The mass of the average human = 75 kilograms, (75,000 grams)
75 kg X 300,000 klm/sec, squared = 6.75 quadrillion electron volts (eV). These are not volts of electricity but
electron volts of potential energy. And it does not matter if you are 6' 4" and weigh 260 lbs. or you are 5' 2", eyes of
blue, and weigh 100 lbs. soaken wet, you still have this energy potential.
So why can't most of us use it? That comes with Part 2 of this article.
