First and foremost, the Government conspires to conceal the truth about extraterrestrial contact and secondly, we the people have the right to know the whole truth about extraterrestrial contact.

Those who want answers to the extraterrestrial question seem to take little consideration to the potential reasons why there is a conspiracy to conceal this reality from us.

Of course without acknowledgment and disclosure from the holders of the secrete we lack a precise understanding to judge the moral stance of these conspirators, which tends to taint the keepers of the secret as being power hunger and ruthless.

It may be the case that much power is to be gained by keeping the secret or that the cabal is sustained by a sense of duty and self preservation. Perhaps the truth is more damaging than the lie that conceals the reality of what is beyond the confines of our small planet?

Using the 65 reasons “Why the Government Might Have Chosen not Why to Disclose the ET Reality” by Grant Cameron (http://www.presidentialufo.com/ufo_coverup.htm) I wish to synthesize this list down into 3 main positions for keeping the secret:

1. For the protection and preservation of the people.
2. To protect the interest of the government.
3. To protect and serve the interests of the Aliens.

For the protection and preservation of the people

What would happen to our economy, our political system and organized religion if extraterrestrial life came to Earth?

A stock market that is venerable to speculation would certainly be in deep crisis, if not in full collapse if Alien contract was official. One could suppose that alien contract might lead to sharing of technology and that such technology, in the short term, would wreak havoc on energy stocks. In a society that is addiction to oil, the promise of free energy emancipation may seem like a great stride forward for mankind, but in the short term our economy would be slow to adapt and there is great potential for market collapse and economic disaster.

Without gradual disclosure and control the populous would be quick to do the arithmetic and realize all that they once new is unstable. Panic, resistance and fear could grip the nation in Nostradamus-like apocalyptic grandeur. Mass shock and world-wide panic could ensue if a UFO landed at the White House.

America is, by-in-large, a Christian nation. Extraterrestrial contact would adversely affect some sectors of organized religion. Unlike 9ll, that brought many to faith and back to church, this crisis could have the opposite effect, driving society away from its Christian roots into deep despair. An optimistic study in 1994, questioned the impact of an Extraterrestrial presence on religion and surmised that only 28% of the population would be in religious crisis. However, the cumulative effect of panic and uncertainty could push fundamentalist, awaiting the second coming of Christ to either cling tighter to faith or to completely let go. The real effect is a potential that societies belief systems might all collapse. Issues of evolution, genetics and pure science would all be in flux. The effect would cross all political and ideological boundaries.

To protect the interest of the government

What does the government know that they don’t want us to know?

The most obvious yet overlooked possibility is that the government knows enough about the UFO question to recognize that they are powerless to bargain, negotiate or position themselves for a competitive advantage. Preserving the façade that our, or any government is in control and all-powerful, is a salient reality for our national peace and tranquility. Any amount of disclosure would not help the situation, but only reinforce the reality that our protectors can’t protect us.

This uncertainty and impotence as lead to a global fear among the superpowers. Without a clear course of action I would suppose that each administration hopes for the status quo, and hopes that disclosure will not happen on their watch.

Disclosure would not be a painless experience for the government. Telling the truth would not invite a sense of gratitude from those who have demanded it for decades. As the truth is revealed, an escalation of speculation and distrust would surface and ultimately our government would lose credibility.

From the first press conference, our government would be in solid gridlock, no other issue would penetrate and the implications of this revelation would mesmerize our full attention.

The government couldn’t just throw out the Alien reality as bone to chew for the media. The appetite for the truth would not be stopped nor satisfied until, to the chagrin of the power in charge, all secretes lay open for public display. This level of disclosure would expose dark secrets, black ops projects, national security methods and counter intelligence operations used to obscure the truth for many decades. The government would never be willing to expose themselves unless the ramifications of disclosure outweighed the sanctity of protecting the secrete. This level of full disclosure leads me to image a worse case a scenario in which disclosure is offered because the reality of Alien contact is either imminent or worse our planet is on the brink of invasion for purposes of colonization.

Lack of disclosure may be viewed as a measurement of our stability. Any official disclosure may be the birthing pangs of precarious new reality.

To protect and serve the interests of the Aliens

If the extraterrestrial corporative have a benign agenda for our planet and they have the equivalent of a non-interference directive, disclosure of their presence may adversely affect their study? They may understand the impact of their presence upon our society given the implications stated already in this article. Indeed the Brookings Study on The Implications of the Discovery of Extraterrestrial Life and Intelligence described the fear and disaster that may occur if our civilization had an encounter with extraterrestrials Other Anthropological expeditions on our own planet have proven as much.

And so we may assume that not only is our government concealing the truth, but they are in collusion with extraterrestrials that want the same. Perhaps the aliens have ordered the government not to disclose their presence. This may be apart of quid-pro-quo agreement to protect mankind from other alien invaders.

If the cabal for secretly originated with extraterrestrials, it could explain the inconsistent tactics of UFO encounters. Perhaps the aliens have their own counter intelligence operations deployed to make the UFO issue complex and unbelievable so that no credible source can convince the masses. Crop circles, cattle mutilations and abductions all may be real, but apart of larger plan of observation, preservation and protection.

Conclusion

Full disclosure may be a day of enlighten fulfillment, preparing mankind for an evolutionary leap. On the other hand, it may be the invocation for the darkest period of all human history. If you knew the answers to these questions, the reality of every hidden agenda, what would you do? Would full individual disclosure compel you to keep the secret or shout if from the roof tops? Without a full understanding of the truth, we can’t predict the full implications of such disclosure upon the masses.
