suggested that one read, or even re-
read, our two previous articles in SCIENCE in FOCUS:

Diplomatic & Social Relations With ET?
In this first article, we discussed the possible
existence of highly developed, Type III
Civilizations, existing on planets within the
'habitable zones' of 17 stars within a 10
light year radius of Earth, such stars being 1,000,000
years older than our Sun, and
what these civilizations might be like!
In the second article, we discussed what diplomatic
and social relations with such
civilizations might be like, how they would most
likely develop, and the problems
which might be encountered in trying to communicate
with such entities, given the
many problems we currently face, communicating with
other Nations right here on
Earth in the 'here and now'!

We ended this article with the hypothetical question:
"What if we accidentally
encountered a UFO and/or its ET occupants in the 'here
and now'???"
This will be the focus of our current article -
Playing the game of 'What If'???'!
As we all know, children have very active imaginations
and our always playing a
game of 'What If?'.

What if I were: An Astronaut? A Pilot? A Doctor? A
Scientist? Engineer?,
Policeman?, Fireman?, Heavy Equipment Operator?, - - -
the list is endless!
This game is actually highly beneficial as it enhances
our children's development
and should always be encouraged!
What about adults???
Often at times, we find ourselves 'fantasizing' about
other imaginary 'outcomes'
which our lives might take based on books we have
read, movies we have seen, TV
shows watched, radio broadcasts, etc. - Romance!
Adventure! Travel! - whatever;
a rather harmless way to temporarily escape reality,
as long as we don't let ourselves
get carried away with it!
But there is one group of adults who take this game
quite seriously: PILOTS!
Pilots, for safety sake, are constantly playing the
game of 'What If?'!!!
"What if on 'take off' I climb to 300 feet above
ground level and the engine quits?"
"Where am I going to put it???"
"What if certain of my instruments fail???"
"What if I encounter severe weather???"
Their list is also endless and quite important less
they end up on the front page of
the Daily News! (Successful outcomes rarely make the
headlines!)
And flight instructors continually ask their fledgling
students: "What are the two
most important things any pilot must remember???"
Answer: "The next two things he or she is going to
do!!!".
Now, how about the rest of us???
Question: "What is the most dangerous activity we all
engage in???
Answer: "DRIVING" - (Home repairs & maintenance might
be a close second).
How many times do we encounter incidents and/or
conditions that could lead to an
accident? Do we ever consider what we will do or
where we will 'put it' if such an
accident occurs??? Some food for thought!!!
All that being said, let us return to our original
question.
One need only read past and present articles in this
newsletter as well as a plethora
of other publications, attesting to personal sightings
and/or contact with UFOs as
well as their ET occupants. With this in mind, we
thought it might be advisable to
publish an article dealing with 'what one should do,
as well as NOT DO, if faced
with such a situation, in other words, "What If?"!!!
But, before we began, let us
review a few facts:

It has been proven that 90% of all UFO sightings are
the result of seeing and
misidentifying, all to common objects and/or natural
phenomena! Even a sodium
vapor street light, seen through leafless trees on a
damp, foggy night, can, at first
glance, by misidentified as a 'Flying Saucer',
especially if one is predisposed to see
one!

Such advanced aircraft as the U-2, SR-71, F-117, and
the Stealth Bomber, when first
seen by the general public, were misidentified as
UFOs! All of these craft started
out as 'Top Secret, Black Projects' and were at first,
only flown over areas far away
from the prying eyes of the general public such as The
Nevada Test Site!
But eventually, these aircraft had to be flown over
great distances while at the same
time, remaining, 'Top Secret', hence, the attendant
government denials and
disinformation!
At this point, let us digress for a moment from our
main theme!
There is an all to common misconception that 'Top
Secret, Black Projects', along
with secret, Communication & Cryptological, as well as
Intelligence Agencies, are
strictly a modern phenomena! In fact, ever since the
formation of formal
governments with their attendant military
establishments, there has always been
such entities! Also, at each moment in time, all
advanced weapons were considered,
'Weapons of Mass Destruction' - they only become more
lethal with advanced
technology! Unfortunately, as long a 'Adversarial
Nations' exist, all of these entities
will continue to exist and of necessity, remain
'Secret', even if only for a short time!
It is only with the advent of our modern mass media,
especially the Internet, that
such things became widely known to Earth's general
population! And this has
become an ever more serious security problem for all
of the governments on Earth!
Now, let us return to our principle focus!
Suppose one actually sees a 'Real UFO'? This brings
to mind two immediate
questions:
One: "Who is flying it?" Two: "Does it present any
immediate danger to us?"
In answer to question one, as previously stated, all
of Earth's governments are
continually designing and testing prototypes of
advanced space craft and, given the
facts presented in our past two articles, it could be
either - US or THEM!
As to question two, yes, there have been a few
reported cases where such craft have
caused injury, even death, to individuals but, for the
most part, these cases are rare
and most usually the result of inappropriate actions
on the part of the individuals
concerned, a topic we will address in Part 2 of this
article.
So, what should one do if one sights a genuine UFO?
First of all, Don't Panic!!! While such an event
might be disturbing, even traumatic
in some cases, the actual danger is slight!
Be observant! Take detailed notes if possible. Use
binoculars if one has them. If
one has a camera or an audio/video recorder, use it.
(However, don't be suprised if
the photos come up blank or black as this has been the
result in some cases. On rare
occasions, some of this equipment has even been
'fried' or made temporarily
unusable)!
Report your sighting to the nearest MUFON
organization, (see MUFON listings on
the Internet). A competent and experienced MUFON
investigator has a better
chance of determining the facts than the average
citizen.
And of course, by all means, report your sighting to
us at UFO Area so it can be
entered into our data base and referred to
contributors who specialize in such
investigations.
You can email us
Be advised that local law enforcement will have no
more information than you do
and will most likely be just as perplexed. And the
military and ATC will most likely
tell you that there is 'nothing there' or give some
other vague explanation.
The media will either 'Hype it up', causing quite a
disturbance in the local
community, (an undesirable outcome), or even worse,
consider you a 'nut case'!
Along with this, one might want to be 'rather
selective' with whom one shares this
information, (even within one's own family), for all
of these same reasons!
However, one thing we should realize is that the
chances of the average person,
actually seeing a genuine UFO or its occupants, are
rather slim!
(In America, the most frequent sightings of UFOs have
been in Montana!)
Now let us proceed to the situation we proposed in our
last article:
You are out hunting and come in contact with a landed
UFO and its occupants!
What would you do??? Would it be advisable to tell
them that you are
'Hunting!'??? Not Really! Given our 6,000 years of
violent, recorded history, this
might be construed to mean: "YOU ARE HUNTING THEM!!!"
What one 'should do', as well as 'NOT DO!', in such
cases will be the focus of Part 2
of this current article!

Recently, a certain image taken by the Mars rover Spirit was widely debated.
The image was among many sent back to Earth by Nasa's Mars rover Spirit in November.
The vehicle started its exploration on Mars four years ago.
It is in fact a very controversial image and at the same time not

At first this question may sound absurd. According to our perception of time and reality it should be impossible to
capture a past event on camera. It does sound like science fiction, but a secret experiment conducted by the U.S Air Force
shows that our so-called reality is not what we might think it is...
