Much has been written about SETI, (The Search for
Extraterrestrial Intelligence),
being conducted by the National Radio Astronomy
Observatory in Green Bank,
West Virginia, (as well as elsewhere), Astronomer
Frank Drake, and his famous
'Drake Equation' which he formulated in 1961.
This study focuses primarily on finding
Extraterrestrial Civilizations equivalent to
ours, that is, those that have developed and use:
Radio, Television, Radar, and
Microwave technologies of which there is only one,
known, absolute value - US!!!
All of the other scientific values in this equation
are known and derived from past,
cosmic research and are quite variable! In other
words, one can select any of these
values one wishes or even, if one desires, come up
with other estimated values
obtained from his or her own research!

Answers derived by using these procedures can vary
from: (0) Civilizations, (US), to
100,000 such Civilizations, a slight bit of
'subjective analysis'!
In other words, one
might 'prove' any number of 'Like Civilizations' one
wants!

However, the focus of this article will be on the
possible existence of highly
advanced, 'Type III Civilizations In Our Immediate
Neighborhood', that is, within a
radius of ten light years or less from Earth! Such
Civilizations have been postulated
by Nikolai Kardashev, former member of the Space
Research Institute, Soviet
Academy of Sciences, Moscow, in the former USSR, as
well as others!

QUESTION:
"What are the chances of a 'Type III, Extraterrestrial
Civilization', existing in our
immediate neighborhood, that is, within a Star System,
within a radius of 10 light
years or less, from Earth???"
To answer this question, we must start with a known,
scientific fact which is:
"There are at least 17 Stars, similar to our Sun,
within 10 light years of Earth!"
However, each of these Stars is at least, one million
years older than our Sun!!!
Therefore, it is quite possible that any number of
these stars could harbor planets,
similar to our Earth, in their 'habitable zones', just
like in our Solar System!
Could any such planets be populated by a Type III
Civilization???
Consider This:
How far have we, on Earth, advanced in the past 100
years and especially, in the
past 60 years???
'Progress and Scientific Advancement' does not
'DOUBLE' - IT IS
'EXPONENTIAL'!!!
In other words, if we have advanced (x) in one year,
we will advance (2x) the
following year; (4x) in the next year; (16x) in the
year following that; and on and
on - - - !!!
So it would be no stretch of the imagination that an
Extraterrestrial Civilization,
one million years older then us, could have achieved
this 'Type III' category!!!
The 'Type III Civilization':
A 'Type III Civilization' as defined by Nikolai
Kardashev, is one that controls the
power of an entire galaxy. For a power source, it
harnesses the power of billions of
star systems. It has probably mastered Einstein's
equations and 'UEF Control',
enabling it to manipulate space time at will!
Such an advanced civilization most likely would have
also developed and mastered
anti-matter propulsion systems for space craft, the
manufacture and travel through
Worm Holes through Hyperspace, the ability to warp
space time, and most likely
Teleportation. (It should be noted that our own
scientists have successfully
teleported one original photon right here on earth.)!
It would also have developed 'Cloaking Technologies',
(which our scientists on
Earth have also, somewhat successfully,
accomplished.)!

It would have 'Mother Ships' capable of traveling
great distances within the galaxy
or perhaps, even be able to travel to other galaxies.
These 'Mother Ships' would house a large contingency
population along with
smaller, reconnaissance space craft used to explore
planets in other existing solar
systems.

Such space craft would most likely be
powered by a Total Annihilation
Anti-Matter Reactor and use such propulsion methods as
Force Field,
Electromagnetic, Vacuum Thrust, Ion, or any of the
many other propulsion systems
being considered by our own scientists right here on
Earth today!
Even if such a civilization was only capable of
traveling at 90% of light speed,
traveling within a 10 light year radius of their own
planet, such a journey would
only take a matter of months as measured by time
aboard the space craft, NOT
LIGHT YEARS!!!
What a 'Type III Civilization' would be like:
This type of civilization would have immense wealth!
Money, credit, working for a
living, as we know it, would be non-existent. An
'acquisition mentality' would be
non-existent as everyone would automatically be
provided with everything they
would need including education and a prechosen
professional career
Birth control would most likely be genetically
implanted and only removed from the
sperm and egg when reproduction was necessary. All
reproduction would be by
artificial insemination, (Test Tube babies - Designer
Children), in other words, no
person would be allowed to be born without a specific
purpose and hence, no
overpopulation. There would be no 'Second Class'
citizens! Food would also be in
abundance for all, at no charge!
Families, as we know them, would be non-existent, much
the same as ancient,
Micronesian, Island societies where 'Marriage' was
unnecessary as all children were
everybody's children and cared for by everyone in the
society without exception.
Energy production would be no problem as such an
advanced civilization could
mine their own Sun, extract energy from nearby 'Black
Holes', and other star
systems. There would be no use for fossil fuels,
hence, no pollution.
Climate would be controlled and all diseases would
have long since been
eliminated!
Travel would most likely be conducted in translucent
tubes utilizing either megalev
and/or force field propulsion technologies which are
currently being considered
right here on Earth today by our own scientists!
Such a civilization also would most likely have a
predetermined, computerized,
world government and all voting would be universal and
planetary by computer
with the consensus of all participants!
There would be no wars, (or such a civilization would
never have reached a 'Type
III' status - they would have destroyed themselves
long before reaching it!), and
defense would only consist of those technologies
necessary in case of interference
from less advanced, war like, civilizations!
Such a civilization would be able to survive
cataclysmic events and have few, if any,
industrial accidents. The only cataclysmic event
which would be unsurvivable
would be a Super Nova, which most likely it would be
able to predict and thus, move
an entire planetary population to another location,
possibly a planet which had
either been destroyed through warfare, industrial
accident, pollution, and/or over
population, or whatever, and had been previously
rejuvenated and repopulated!
Sound like 'UTOPIA' ??? Yes, but not theoretically
impossible! David Lindley, a former astrophysicist in the UK, now
living in the USA, once said, "Never say, 'Something
can't happen or esist! Because, about that time, it
WILL!, and
one will have 'egg all over
their face!"!!!
However, this brings us to the next question: "If
such advanced civilizations do
exist and we make contact with any of them, what would
our Diplomatic and/or
Social relations be like???
